Who is ready for a fun pattern hack!? I’ve had so many ideas for Audie Playdress & Audie Playsuit hacks since I launched both of these patterns. I’m excited to finally release one into the world for you! This hack uses view C of the Playdress pattern to make a simple pencil dress with a high slit. Paired with this fun print linen from Stone Mountain and Daugter and I’m in love!
Inspiration:
I wanted to make a simple, feminine dress hack that could easily be dressed up or down. An easy silhouette could make a statement in solid colors or be bold in a fun print. I left the fit a little loose (not skin tight), true to the original dress pattern. My version is sewn up in a linen blend for a slightly more casual vibe. But you could easily size down and sew it up in a more formal fabric for a cocktail affair!
