As always, no pattern release would be complete without a shoutout to all the amazing pattern testers who helped make it happen! The Audie Playdress is no exception. I’m so happy to be sharing their makes with you today!
Erin
Erin asked me if she could get a little creative with some color blocking and modifications for her View A Audie and I was of course itching with excitement to see what she would come up with. This color blocked gingham works so well because the ginghams are all the same scale! She also raised the neckline to be a square neck and I love the more casual vibes it gives off!
Monique
I love the summery vibes of Monique’s coral rayon View A Playdress. And the dress-with-sneakers look is so on trend right now! I think Monique nailed this look! Would you believe this was her first me-made woven dress!?
Lim Boon
Lim Boon combined the View a bodice with the View B skirt and the outcome is absolutely lovely! I’ve added some flare to the View B skirt since her version, but I think the rayon she chose drapes rather nicely here!
Kten
I love Kten’s subtle striped rayon crepe View B. She graded from a 0 at the bust and waist to a 2 at the hips for a perfectly fitted bodice. This dress just screams summer!
Kirsten
Kirsten chose a super fun summery print for her view A Audie from Caramiya! I love the bright colors and it is perfect for all this hot weather we’ve been having!
Julia
Forget the dress, how lovely is this moody afternoon light patio photoshoot by Julia!? I love her subtly fun fabric (can you see the little scooters!?) and the pleats she added are a nice touch for a little extra shaping.
Esther
This hack of View A by Esther is so much fun I think I need to make one for myself! She lengthened the skirt and added an extra ruffle tier! The result is quite dreamy and makes me want to frolic in a lovely garden somewhere!
Julia
How beautiful is this color blocked View A that Julia made in HER OWN FABRIC!? She extended View A so that she could use her full floral fabric panel and the result is stunning! I love how the solid green compliments the colors in the fabric print.
Cara
Cara was my only tester to go for View C and I love the simplicity of her dress! She chose to do an eyelet trim instead of the ruffle peplum and it adds the perfect touch of sweetness.
Annabel
How fun are these polka dots on Annabel‘s View B Audie!? Annabel had the forethought to sew bra cups into her bodice so that she felt more confident going braless with the open back. The outcome is really sleek and nice!
Madeline
How absolutely stunning is this View A bodice and View B skirt combo by Madeline!? She used a vintage drapey polyester and the emerald green is divine!

The following sewists were an amazing and integral part of this pattern test, yet opted not to have photos in the roundup: Chelsea & Suzanne.
And that wraps up the Audie Playdress tester roundup! If you have some time, show these ladies a little love by visiting their linked Instagram accounts and giving them a follow!
We have a couple more months of warm weather here so I’ll be twirling & prancing in all my Audie variations till the cool front comes!
Happy Sewing!
