Every year for my birthday I make myself something special. This year it was all about polka dot maxi-magic!!
You may not know this about me but I do some sort of work out just about every morning. Sometimes it’s yoga, sometimes it’s strength training videos on youtube. It’s never longer than an hour (lets me honest mostly thirty minutes) and it’s not crazy intense but it’s an important part of my day that I rarely skip even on my laziest of mornings. So naturally when I noticed the bums on my spandex workout shorts starting to wear out and pill I decided it was time to make some of my own.
If you’ve been following me for a while you know I’m a fan of all things “swing”. When this pattern came out from Named Clothing it immediately went onto my “to sew” list. Then this fabric crossed my path and I knew it was a match made in heaven.
If there was a game called “refashion everything into an ogden cami” I think I would win! It’s just such an easy pattern to refashion from other garments. It requires very little fabric and is very hack-able, two characteristics that are great for refashioning.
Theres a reason I’m standing in the street in front of an old ford truck…
This project has been finished for so long I am so happy to finally be posting it. Its not news that I love the Ogden Cami by True Bias, but this one is special because it is a super fun refashion that turned a dress I never wore into a tank that gets lots of wear time!
