It’s been TOO LONG since I posted a tutorial for yall and I’m so excited about this one! I’ve been all about the fabric scrap earrings lately and I’m loving the way these Pom Pom ones turned out! Grab a Pom Pom maker set, some fabric scraps, and make them in any size you like!
- Pom Pom Maker*
- Earring Posts*
- Chain (optional)*
- Fabric Scraps cut into small strips
- Jewelry pliers
*most supplies can be found at your local hobby lobby or craft store, I’ve linked the exact ones I use in this tutorial here. These links are affiliate links.
Don’t forget to hashtag your earrings with #fabricscrapearrings on insta so I can see!

What types of fabric would work for these earrings? Just wondering about fabric fraying. Thanks, Mary

Hi! I’ve mostly use silks & poly crepe & charmeuse for these earrings but I’ve also done them with double gauze. They will fray a bit but the earrings don’t get handled a ton. Most fabrics will fray every now and then but I just give them a little haircut as needed.
