It’s the video you’ve all been desperately waiting for!!! (Right?) I’m FINALLY sharing the process behind building my DREAM cutting table for the new studio!
Start to finish this table probably took me about 2 years to complete. Not because it’s that involved of a process, life just threw many interruptions my way and it ended up being a very drawn out process! Luckily for your, I took video all along the way!
I had a few parameters in mind for my perfect cutting table:
- Appropriate height for easy cutting (no back bending)
- On wheels for mobility
- Storage underneath
- A porous surface that I could stick pins in
- An integrated ironing board that could fold out of the way
- Sized to fit the cutting mat i currently have
Is that so much to ask!? I knew with something specific in mind I would be building my own. Some google searching brought me to Heather’s blog post where she shared plans for her own DIY cutting table. I knew that with a few tweaks and additions, I could use her (always detailed) plans to make my own!
Check out my youtube video
where I share my whole process: the good, the bad, and the ugly!
Can you tell how happy I am with it!?
I can’t wait to get moved into this new space and start creating new content for yall!
Happy Sewing,
