In my latest youtube video, I’m sharing all the details of the moveable photo backdrop I installed in the new studio! Now I’m ready for ALL the photoshoots!
the ultimate photo backdrop goal
I knew I wanted to take advantage of the natural light in my new studio and have a backdrop set up for taking photos for the blog and my sewing patterns. However, I didn’t want the set up to take up a lot of space, and furthermore I wanted it to be able to be “put away” when not in use. In the end, I decided on a giant curtain connected to a track that could be completely pushed behind my garment rack until I needed it.

In the end, I couldn’t be happier with how the backdrop turned out. It ticks all the boxes for everything I needed functionality-wise. In summary, the opaque fabric creates a nice solid backing for photos and the white plays with the light perfectly. I also love the way the curtain glides across the track seamlessly.
Do you have a setup for taking photos in your studio? I would love to hear what solution you came up with!
