Reveal Day is finally here!! There is so much about the Restyling Exchange that I enjoy but Reveal Day has to be the absolute BEST PART of the challenge. I’m so excited to show y’all what Michele did with my thrifted dress and scrap fabric!
If you don’t remember what the dress looks like the before photo is below. You can also check out THIS POST where I talk all bout what I chose to send and why.

Can you even believe how amazing this transformation is!? Michelle used the Chalk and Notch Orchid top hacked with the Ensemble Patterns Parasol pants to create this adorable romper! I’m so happy she kept the original buttons and front bodice, as thats what initially drew me to the dress and it keeps that cute vintage flare.
I love the ruffled sleeves with the contrast fabric underneath. Reminds me of the Farrah top Jackie made me for last years exchange! The contrast fabric is also tied in with the waist tie for the perfect accent.
I did have to make a few fit adjustments to get it just right. The romper was a little short in the torso and tight in my crotch. So I added a separate wider channel piece for the waist tie with the scraps Michele sent back. I also lowered the armhole curve as the fit was a little tight. Lastly, I shortened the shorts a tad more. I am so impressed with how close of a fit this was from Michele. It’s such a bold move to make a romper for someone whose body you’ve never seen in person and she nailed it!
I also had the bonus gift of a cute matching scrunchie! Then I of course had to immediately whip up some matching earrings with the extra scrap fabric Michele sent me as well.
For some extra fun, I made sure to film my initial reaction opening the package from Michele! You can check it out in the youtube video below:
