My favorite part of every sewalong is the styling post. I love playing around with different ways to style a new pattern, and hopefully provide you with some inspiration to see how to get more wear out of your Chelsea Party Dress.
KEEP IT CASUAL
A Chelsea Party Dress sewn up in simple cotton has a glorious summer sun dress vibe. Pair it with a vintage denim jacket and some sneakers and your party dress has just become your everyday dress!
ADD SOME MODES-TEE!
Another fun way to add modesty to your Chelsea Party Dress without all the pattern-hacking? Throw a tee underneath! Chelsea looks super cute with a close fitted tee. Perfect for when the weather changes but you don’t want to put away your summer dresses juuuusssstt yet.
GLAM IT UP
My favorite way to wear the Chelsea Party Dress is to make a statement.. I mean, that’s what she was made for right!? Throw on your flashiest statement necklace and sexiest heels. And don’t forget the lipstick!
DRESS IT DOWN
I’ve really gotten into the shirts or sweaters over dresses look for fall. Again, this is a great way to transition you lighter pieces into the cooler months. Plus it just looks super chic!
BEACHY VIBES
Something about a maxi dress just makes me want to head to the beach. Tie up the hem and throw on your favorite sandals for that relaxed, sand-in-your-hair look!
BOYFRIEND BLAZER
I love the look of a feminine dress paired with a menswear inspired piece like a blazer. This look is great for date night. Added plus: you don’t have to steal your dates coat when you get cold!
Thank you so much for joining me on this sewalong!
I can’t wait to see all your Chelsea’s in the wild. Don’t forget to use the hashtag #chelseapartydress when you post pics!
Happy Sewing!
