As you know, no pattern release is complete without an amazing group of testers! While not every tester opted to join the round-up, I am super excited to share a few of their beautiful & inspiring raincoats with you today!
Adigoni chose to use a beautiful cool grey soft shell for their raincoat. How dreamy is this photoshoot!? They also left off the front snap placket and I love the more modern, minimal look it brings to the Whitney. Sleeve cuffs were added here for extra length that has since been added to the final pattern!
I love that Ilah repurposed a shower curtain for their raincoat! Such a clever idea and it turned out so lovely. I love how the grey keeps it neutral but the floral print makes it fun!
Denise had the cutest fabric for her raincoat! I love the ārain girlā print with little cartoon ladies with umbrellas! And a fun lining as well! Denis is always so cheerful in her photos!
Kten never disappoints when they test for me. This oil cloth Whitney Raincoat turned out so great! A word of caution to beginners – Kten said the oil cloth was a little tricky to work with especially on curved areas.
I love the olive green Sarah chose for their Whitney Raincoat. And can we talk about that stunning lining!? So happy to have Sarah as a pattern tester for this one. They are a great resource for curvy sewists!
So much love for my sweet friend Victoria and this fun floral raincoat! Victoria used a laminated cotton which is my personal favorite fabric for this pattern! And how fun are those shoes!?
I also want to give a shoutout to my other testers who completed the Whitney Raincoat test and gave very helpful feedback but are not featured here: Jennifer, Julia, Mandy, Lucia, Angel, Leigh, Julie, Noelle, Ashley, & Tanis.
Happy Sewing!
