Nothing like a set of matching bra and panties to really make you feel like you have your shit together! This is the first of many I batch sewed earlier this year and am just now getting around to blogging about them!
For this bra, I used the amazing Cloth Habit Watson Bra pattern. It’s a cloth bra that comes in both a standard or longline option. I’ve made the standard one before, so I thought it would be fun to try the longline (especially in this cute fabric!). This is a great bra pattern for beginners as it has no underwire or foam cups. Just a simple cloth bra!
The fabric is scraps of a super cute large scale gingham jersey I got from a instagram destash sometime last year. I saved my leftovers from making this Minttu tank and knew they would be great for undies. It is super soft and I love the casual vibe of the gingham. I luckily had all the notions in my stash already as well! Go me for ordering in bulk!
I knew from the beginning I wanted to do a matching set. I didn’t have enough of the gingham to do a full panty. Which is fine because I only sleep in those so making a thong out of it meant I might actually get to wear them to gather and feel extra sophisticated. I drafted this thong pattern based on a RTW one I owned and liked. It’s been a go-to for scrap busting in my undie drawer!

It’s funny that I spent some time batch sewing all these new bras at the beginning of the year because as soon as it got hot I’ve pretty much been going without lol. I know they will get lots of wear as soon as the weather cools off though!
Happy Sewing!
