One of the first steps in sewing the Whitney Raincoat is sewing the shoulder darts on the raglan sleeves. Sounds easy enough right? Well if you haven’t sewn a shoulder dart before, it’s not necessarily the same as sewing any ‘ole dart.
The video below will take you step-by-step through sewing a shoulder dart in order to get a nice crisp curved finish. This technique can be used for any jacket or top that includes a shoulder dart – a popular feature in woven garments with a raglan style sleeve.
