Its our last big construction day before we do the finishing touches next week. Today we will be stitching the pleats in place and sewing on the waistband. Its really starting to look like a skirt now!
If you sewed a lining in your Patti Pocket skirt as per yesterdays instructions, you should have your waist notches of your self and lining fabric matching up, with the lining and self facing wrong sides together. Your hem & zipper will also be clean finished. If you haven’t gotten there yet, be sure to go back and watch yesterdays video on those instructions.
The following video does not picture the lining, however you will not be treating your lining + self as one piece of fabric, and follow the instructions in the video accordingly, pinning your pleats in place holding both fabrics together. I do not recommend sewing the pleats in the self and lining fabrics separately as it would create more bulk that way.
See you next week,
Happy Patti Pocket Sewing!
