It’s time to finish our Roksis!!!
This is a super exciting day y’all. (Any day with a finished project is an exciting day!) If you’ve already read your instructions you are probably thinking that the hem looks a bit complicated. You are not wrong. While the Roksi is a fairly simple pattern the clean finished hem can be a bit tricky (and tricky to explain!) Its actually the main reason I wanted to do this sewalong was to really make sure it was clear for everyone.
NOTE: I mentioned on fabric day that your fabric may not want to do the clean finished hem. If you are using something like chiffon it’s really not going to want to give you a clean pressed edge at the hemline. Your best bet here is to just baby hem each of your layers separately. This option is of course available to you if you simply dont want to go the clean finished hem route.
Now, on to the video!
I am going to wrap things up tomorrow with a little post about styling tips if you’d like to join me there, otherwise get out there and twirl to your hearts content! – wind pending 😉
