Welcome to the Chelsea Party Dress Sewalong! The Chelsea Party Dress may seem a bit intimidating with the various panels and pieces, but after this sewalong you will find she is quite easy to assemble when you break it down step-by-step. I will also be covering helpful tips on fitting, choosing your fabrics, and styling your Chelsea Dress.
FORMAT
The Chelsea Party Dress sewalong will be delivered to you in a multitude of mediums, all accessible within each days blog post. You will not watch me sew the full dress step-by-step, as the instructions in your pattern packet are quite clear and well diagramed. Instead I like to break down individual steps that you may find difficult or may be new to a beginner sewist, as sometimes it’s easier to see these things in action in order to fully grasp them!

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT CHELSEA
The Chelsea Party Dress is an empire waist, gathered + flared dress with a plunging neckline and open back. This pattern offers 2 views. View A is a shorter, flirty above-the-knee length. View B adds a panel for a beautiful, dramatic maxi length.
This pattern was actually designed as a bit of a collaboration between me and it’s namesake, my cousin Chelsea. I like that you can dress it up with slinky, formal fabrics. Or dress it down with sandals in a drapey cotton for a fun daytime look (more on that on the styling day!)
My favorite part about the Chelsea Party Dress is all the potential for color blocking and print mixing in the same garment!
