I promised y’all this hack a couple weeks ago when I shared my Style Maker Spring Tour make and here it is! For everyone who would prefer a flat-front look with their Nita Trousers.
I can say after doing the hack and sewing them up that you definitely might want to add a little to the hip curve to make up for the volume removed with the pleats. I’d say about 1/4″ to the fullest point of the hip blended into the waist and thighs.
Keep in mind, this means you would need to adjust the pocket piece as well. Watch my video for blending between sizes to see how to edit the pocket and pants piece all in one.
Alternatively, you could just take a bigger seam allowance at the side seam and wait and see if you need to take it out a touch.
I’d love to see your hacked Nitas! Be sure to use #nitatrousers when sharing on instagram!
