Congrats! You made it! We are at the big kahuna! Now is the time to clean finish our Whitney Raincoat by installing the lining. This technique, called a bagged lining, adds a chic and professional finish to your raincoat. All your seam allowances will be tucked away on the inside. Once you’ve completed this step you are almost done! You can definitely do a happy dance because this is one of the most difficult steps in the pattern.
Installing a bagged lining is quite similar in any lined jacket, so you can use this tutorial with any lined jacket pattern. If you have any questions about the video, feel free to post them in the comments below!
Happy Sewing!

Thank you for an excellent video on bagging out a lining for a rain slicker. I found it thru you tube after watching quite a few and yours was the best! Very clear instructions and great visuals. You really saved my project when I was about to give up. I’ve now subscribed and signed up for your newsletter and found a few tutorials that help me out immediately on other projects left unfinished. You are really gifted and a great teacher! Thanks!
